December 5 - 6, 2017: Regular Conference Classes

The West SUGA Regional Training Event will take place in beautiful Palm Springs!  The Renaissance and Palm Springs Convention Center, both located in downtown Palm Springs, will host this year’s event.  The downtown district has plenty of shopping, entertainment, art galleries, restaurants, and more!  The Renaissance is also only a short drive to the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens and the Aerial Tramway, which transports you up the cliffs of Chino Canyon for spectacular views of the entire valley!  After an action-packed day, enjoy the hotel’s heated outdoor pool with cabanas and outdoor fire pits.

Registration at this event has been higher than expected.  If you are unable to book a room at the Renaissance, SUGA has reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton Palm Springs.  The Hilton Palm Springs is located just a short walk to the Palm Springs Convention Center.  The room rate is $155 single/double plus tax.  Please call the Hilton direct line at 800.445.8776 and ask for the SunGard Public Sector rate (code: SUN).

Special Renaissance conference room rates at the hotel are $159 single/double (not including state and local taxes, currently 16.89% and subject to change).  The cut-off date for these rates is November 10, 2017. Each hotel room includes plush bedding, a marble bathroom, alarm clock, iron & ironing board, coffee maker, hair dryer, and mini-fridge.  Your room rate also includes complimentary Wi-Fi in your guest room, as well as entrance to the Fitness Center complimentary.  Self-parking is $12/night and $22/night for valet.  To make your reservation, please call the hotel reservations at 888-682-1238.  You must identify yourself as attending the “West SUGA Regional Training Event” to receive these special rates.

The Palm Springs Airport is less than a 5 minute drive.  Airlines serving PSP are: Air Canada, Allegiant, American, Alaska, Delta, jetBlue, United, US Airways, Sun Country, Virgin, and WestJet.  The hotel offers a complimentary airport shuttle.  You may call when you are at the airport, as reservations are not needed.  The shuttle typically runs from 4:45 am to midnight.

The LA/Ontario Airport is about an hour drive.  We recommend Super Shuttle to Palm Springs.  The Super Shuttle shared ride, one way, would be $120 per person.  You may call to make a reservation at (800) 258-3826 or online at www.supershuttle.comTaxis are also available outside the airport.

Once again, West SUGA Regional Training will be having Roundtable sessions for NaviLine Public Administration, OneSolution Public Administration, TRAKiT, and PLUS.  Please join us:
